Pod 1 / Space

## Start with the street.

India’s roads vary from block to block. Our vehicle has to start with that reality.

Pod 1 is designed to be 1.3 metres wide. A compact body with two enclosed seats.

## Make space count.

The design is 2.635 metres long. Room for a cabin without a large footprint.

A 1.7 metre height and a lockable cabinet. The essentials within reach.

1.3 m body widthWide roads. Narrow gullies. Make more of the city yours.

## Questions.

Reviewed 11 October 2026

### What are Pod 1’s dimensions?

The design dimensions are 2,635 mm long, 1,300 mm wide and 1,700 mm high. These are concept dimensions and require engineering validation.

### Does a smaller vehicle remove congestion?

Vehicle size is one factor in road-space use. Traffic flow also depends on occupancy, demand, junctions and road design. Our [Traffic Lab](https://arceight.co/journal/bengaluru-traffic-lab) explores simplified traffic scenarios.
