Three checks before you buy.

01

Your daily distance.

Compare your usual trip with the vehicle’s published range. Allow for traffic, air conditioning and charging access.

02

Your charging location.

Check parking access, the vehicle’s connector and the available electrical supply. Ask a qualified installer to assess home charging.

03

Your total cost.

Check the vehicle price, charger installation, electricity tariff, public charging fees and battery warranty.

A charging-cost example.

20 kWh × ₹8/kWh = ₹160

This example uses 20 kWh billed at ₹8 per kWh. These are illustrative inputs. Your bill depends on your actual tariff, energy drawn, taxes and charging fees. Energy drawn from the charger can exceed energy stored in the battery.

How long does charging take?

Charging time depends on the starting battery level, energy needed, vehicle charging limit and charger output. Check the vehicle’s charging specification for the battery range being quoted. Read about charging time.

How much does charging cost in India?

Multiply the electricity billed in kWh by the tariff per kWh, then add any fees and taxes. Use your electricity bill or charging operator’s current price. Rates vary by location and provider.
